FOG IN AUGUST is a moving drama about the cruel events during the nazi era and the authentic story of 13-year-old Ernst Lossa at the same time. Between 1939 and 1944, as a result of the euthanasia programme, more than 200,000 people were murdered in the German mental hospitals. Ernst Lossa, too, is sent to a mental hospital because of his rebellious nature. Shortly after his arrival, he realizes that children are systematically being killed in this place. And makes an attempt to help the disabled patients and fellow prisoners.
